Job Description

Summary The Wastewater Operator is responsible for running the plant wastewater treatment system. In this role, you are responsible for adding reactants to raw materials at the right time, recording key parameters, and monitoring the reactions. The operator will work closely with plant senior engineer to ensure plant maintain daily compliance with our operating permit and collect all need samples. You must also be willing to wear a full-face respirator to complete your duties safely. Duties and Responsibilities

• Required to obtain class K wastewater certification within 1 year of employment

• As needed support plant chemical process, including adding reactants to raw materials and overseeing all steps of the reactions. Clean and flush lines, pumps, and process systems as needed to avoid contamination. Perform analytical testing on the in process product, (i.e. pH, ) Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes. Use a forklift to move drums and pallets. Label packaging properly Follow ISO quality standards. Coordinate with maintenance department to troubleshoot equipment, use LOTO when needed and prepare the system for line breaks. Complete LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, Confined Space permits Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Maintain equipment as needed; including but not limited to greasing bearing, changing probes, replacing valves and fittings, tighten packing, and follow directions given by supervision, & etc. Complete equipment safety inspections Reporting accidents, safety violations, and near misses. Work independently. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Prior wastewater experience (strongly preferred) HazMat certification (preferred) Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to lift to 55 or more pounds.

$21.00 - $27.00 per hour
