Utility Technician Job Type:

Water & Sewer Job Description:

Responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the water distribution and sewer collection systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Work as a team member and report to the Crew Supervisor
Inspect water and sewer systems daily
Assist ORC (Operator in Charge) in daily, weekly and monthly Quality testing
Reads Meters
Repairs leaks and provide system maintenance
On-call / Weekend duty once a month

Requirements and Preferred Knowledge:

Pass a Drug Test
Ability to operate light and heavy equipment
NC Driver's License/ Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License
At least 1 year experience in Water/Sewer Utility installation, maintenance and repair
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D)
Ability and desire to obtain certification of NC water distribution license
