Job Description
Junaluska Sanitary District Position Title:
Utility Technician Job Type:
Water & Sewer Job Description:
Responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the water distribution and sewer collection systems.Essential Job Functions:
- Work as a team member and report to the Crew Supervisor
- Inspect water and sewer systems daily
- Assist ORC (Operator in Charge) in daily, weekly and monthly Quality testing
- Reads Meters
- Repairs leaks and provide system maintenance
- On-call / Weekend duty once a month
Requirements and Preferred Knowledge:
- Pass a Drug Test
- Ability to operate light and heavy equipment
- NC Driver's License/ Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License
- At least 1 year experience in Water/Sewer Utility installation, maintenance and repair
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D)
- Ability and desire to obtain certification of NC water distribution license
