WATER & SEWER UTILITY OPERATOR/ASSISTANT

Lake Como Sanitary District #1 (LCSD #1) is looking for a water & sewer Utility Operator/Assistant that will be assisting with the daily operations of the water and sewer facilities of the Lake Como Sanitary District, Lake Geneva Wisconsin. Duties will include, field data collection, maintenance, operating hand/power tools, equipment, and machinery to accomplish assigned duties such as, but not limited to; meter reading, grounds/building maintenance, operating and maintain valves/pumps, install and repair of water/sewer facilities. LCSD will provide training for the position and assist the applicant in obtaining the required operator certifications if applicable. Applicant(s) must have a mechanical aptitude, High School Diploma or equivalent, the ability to work in adverse conditions, the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively, tactfully and maintain confidentiality. The applicant should have the ability to perform manual labor and withstand exposure to variable weather conditions, loud noise, chemicals/odors and enter confined spaces. Applicant(s) will be expected to rotate on call duties during the week, weekends , and for any emergency events as needed. Applicant must be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes.
