The Sanitation Supervisor will lead the second shift team of Sanitation Technicians and will be required to train, motivate, and manage team members individually and as a group, including being a working supervisor who leads by example. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage second shift sanitation team including hiring, training and development, performance management, setting weekly schedules, managing timecards and planning team workload at the direction and guidance of the Sanitation Manager. Develop a sound understanding of GMPs, SQF, HACCP, and OSHA. Maintain SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) for all processes / equipment, ensuring they are in compliance. As new equipment is acquired and/or processes changed, develop and/or update SSOP's to comply with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA and SQF. Ensure that all workers on second shift sanitation team are trained and adhere to the company's GMPs Ensure that all workers on second shift sanitation teams are trained and adhere to the company's HACCP and other food safety procedures Support and conduct New Employee Training Provide knowledge of Chemical mixes and MSDS, and oversee team member's use of chemicals and proper safety procedures. Manage Sanitation chemical inventory Support department initiatives set by the Sanitation Manager Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skill
High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in foodservice and/or manufacturing strongly desired
3-5 Years of experience in supervisory role
Strong Math Skills
Able to read and speak English
Ability to delegate and work alongside team members
Good Interpersonal Skills Physical Demands
Able to lift 75 pounds repeatedly during an entire hour shift
Comfortable standing, lifting and bending for duration of an entire shift
Comfortable with repetitive motion
Standing for long periods of time
Walking the production floor for long periods of time Working conditions: Incumbent must be able to work in an environment with changing temperatures from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Incumbent may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, loud equipment and machines, and other environmental hazards associated with a production or warehouse facility.
