Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality structural and ornamental products through various welding and fabrication techniques. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet strict safety standards, adhere to technical specifications, and are completed efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and mechanical fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the creation of steel products for multifamily and single family projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate production of metal components. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal parts and assemblies by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Measure and verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precision in fabrication processes. Operate machinery such as plasma cutters, drills, grinders, and other fabrication shop equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure all work complies with project specifications and quality standards. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprint symbols. Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication processes, machining operations, and assembly procedures. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, and fabrication machinery. Strong understanding of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply shop math skills effectively. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and metal fabrication environments. Pay:
