Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Second Shift, Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Hours M-Thursday, 4pm-2:30am. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-quality equipment that meets strict specifications and industry standards. Job Summary The Welder I, will be responsible for performing basic welding tasks using various welding techniques and equipment. Reporting to Production Supervisor, the role will work under the supervision of experienced welders and contribute to the assembly and fabrication of metal components. Responsibility
Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings (blueprints), and/or work orders.
Independently weld multiple parts accurately and efficiently, demonstrating the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Execute high-quality welds on parts, demonstrating proficiency and expertise gained through comprehensive training and extensive experience.
Set up basic welding equipment in accordance with the specific material properties and welding requirements, ensuring optimal performance and output.
Locate current drawings, samples, and part specifications as needed for reference.
Operate preprogrammed welding robot.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) with minimal oversight, ensuring compliance with established protocols and safety regulations.
Demonstrate a capacity to work at an average pace while maintaining precision and accuracy, minimizing errors to uphold quality standards. Academic/Educational Requirements
High School Diploma is preferred Required Skills/Experience
Must be able to pass internal weld test.
Weld components as per Salford Group standards and specifications ensuring that tolerances are met.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs with the assistance of a lifting device.
Previous experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset.
Highly organized, proactive, can work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent time management skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided).
Positive attitude and ability to work well both independently and in a team setting.
Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail.

Pay:
$18.40 - $24.00 per hour
