Job Description

MTM is seeking a Fabricators to join our production team at our 240,000 sq ft semi dump trailer manufacturing facility located in Kewanee, IL. Qualifications We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To join our team in manufacturing quality trailers you must have: Technical skills: Proficiency in welding techniques, such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas).
Mechanical aptitude:
Understanding of metal properties, welding principles, and equipment operation.
Attention to detail:
Ability to inspect welds for quality and precision.
Physical fitness:
Capable of standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a physically demanding environment.
Problem-solving skills:
Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and find effective solutions.
Safety awareness:
Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations. 3+ yrs Experience Responsibilities Reading and interpreting blueprints: Understanding technical drawings and specifications to determine the welding process and requirements.
Preparing materials:
Cleaning, grinding, and cutting components to ensure proper preparation for welding.
Setting up welding equipment:
Selecting and configuring welding machines (e.g., MIG, TIG) based on the specific project Welding components: Using specialized techniques to join steel parts together, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
Inspecting welds:
Checking the quality of welds for defects, such as cracks, porosity, or undercutting.
Maintaining equipment:
Regularly cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining welding machines and tools.
Following safety protocols:
Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate protective equipment. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
