Interpretation of mechanical drawings necessary to layout, measure, cut, fit and weld thin gauge materials Maintain welding equipment on a daily basis. Role Priorities Production, custom/special projects Safety and Housekeeping Role Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience welding /fabricating thin gauge materials High School diploma, completion of tech school program desirable Essential Skills and Experience Must be able to read and interpret complex drawings Ability to set-up weld machine parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Strong knowledge of common welding tools and materials, MIG and TIG welding techniques, metal fabricating, grinding and finishing metals. Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys. Working knowledge of fixturing and clamping techniques. Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments High awareness and respect for working in a safe manner, adhering to all appropriate safety protocols Physical Requirements Work environment includes regular exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing and foot protection Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time PI287142694
