Position Overview:

We are seeking a Fabrication Assistant to support our welding and fabrication team. This role involves assisting welders, performing fabrication tasks, and preparing materials and assemblies for production and shipment.

Responsibilities:

Assist welders with moving materials and completing post-weld preparation Perform fabrication tasks including tube bending and plasma cutting Execute manual tack welding and assist with semi-automatic welding operations Use hand tools to form tubing, secure fasteners, deburr edges, and prepare orders for shipment Fit, tack, and weld assemblies made from aluminum and stainless steel in compliance with welding codes and specifications Position parts in jigs and fixtures to achieve proper dimensions and orientation Follow work orders and verbal instructions accurately Maintain a safe and organized work environment Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed)

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience with aluminum seam welding Experience in mechanical assembly or metal forming preferred Ability to read and understand work orders and instructions Knowledge of general shop practices and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Paid Holidays Vacation Time Sick Time Pay:

$28 to $32.00 an hour (based on experience)
