Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to the successful production of high-quality metal structures and parts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and technical skills to bring innovative designs to life. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Perform welding using multiple techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal, pipe, and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and rigging equipment. Measure, mark, and layout materials accurately using shop math, measuring instruments, and blueprint specifications to ensure precise fabrication. Operate fabrication shop machinery including machining tools, plasma cutters, and pipe threading equipment while maintaining safety protocols at all times. Assemble fabricated parts into final products or structures by welding, bolting, or riveting while adhering to quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures, inspecting tools for proper function, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Skills Extensive experience on construction sites with a strong understanding of safety protocols. Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in measuring with calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other measuring instruments for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly. Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy materials safely on construction or manufacturing sites. Experience working with metal materials such as steel sheets, pipes, and structural components in a fabrication shop environment. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
