Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder specializing in Stick welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welds on various metal materials, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, manufacturing tasks, and metal fabrication processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand precision, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship. Duties Perform Stick welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding - SMAW) on a variety of metal materials, including sheet metal and structural components, following blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine weld locations, sizes, and specifications. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to ensure precise measurements for fabrication and assembly. Prepare surfaces and materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and setting up workpieces with hand tools and power tools. Follow safety protocols diligently while operating welding equipment, rigging gear, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools. Fabricate metal components through cutting, bending, assembling, and welding to meet project specifications. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Experience Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities involving metal fabrication. Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including SMAW (stick), MIG (metal inert gas), TIG (tungsten inert gas), and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams for accurate fabrication and assembly. Knowledge of rigging procedures, pipe threading, plasma cutting, machining, and the use of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations and heavy equipment handling on construction or fabrication sites. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical fabrication processes, and metal materials commonly used in industrial settings. Ability to perform shop math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations. Join our team if you're passionate about precision welding and eager to contribute your skills to impactful projects! We value safety first, craftsmanship second — ensuring every weld is performed with integrity and excellence in mind.
