Hours:
FT Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm
Paid:
up to $21.00 DOE, Paid Weekly! Weekly opportunities often available to pick up additional overtime hours!
Location:
Eden Prairie, MN This position lies out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms, such as frames or cabinets according to job specifications. The Welder selects equipment, plans layout, assembles, and welds while applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assemble and weld cabinets, roof hatches, louvers, frames, tops and bottoms per job specifications. May assemble parts by bolting and riveting. Assemble thin metal structures and large frame structures by use of a welder. May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools. Move assembled product to next production area in order to complete finished product per job specification. Ensure the safe operation of equipment. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality. Maintain full working knowledge of all processes. Ensure a clean and organized work environment. Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships. Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work. Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position. Ability to read and understand a measuring tape. Knowledge of M.I.G and T.I.G. welding techniques. Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams. Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
One year of applicable welding experience. Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
Preferred:
Vocational certification or degree. Experience in a similar manufacturing setting.

The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
