Hr Job Summary:

Responsible for welding, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal components and equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner. This position may involve MIG welding, reading blueprints, operating industrial equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and using a variety of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate MIG welders and other welding equipment to produce quality welds. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, measurements, and basic production specifications. Weld and fabricate metal components using fixtures, weld tables, clamps, measuring tools, and other equipment. Adjust welding equipment as needed to maintain quality and minimize defects, smoke, and splatter. Perform grinding, cutting, drilling, sawing, and other metal fabrication tasks. Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, drill presses, saws, and other industrial machinery as needed. Perform preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and machinery. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and specification requirements. Safely lift, move, and maneuver materials and components, including heavy parts. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures. Communicate production, equipment, or quality issues to supervisors and management. Complete required safety, welding, and maintenance training. Assist with facility or equipment maintenance as needed. May travel to customer locations for service or installation when required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous welding, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, or related experience preferred. MIG welding experience required or strongly preferred. Ability to read and understand blueprints, weld symbols, measurements, and basic specifications. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and components. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work safely in an industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience. Experience with MIG/GMAW, SMAW, or FCAW welding processes. Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or other industrial equipment. Experience reading complex blueprints and welding symbols. Experience with preventive maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting. Knowledge of welding codes and quality standards. Experience using grinders, saws, drills, drill presses, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools.
