As a Line Boring Welder , your more typical responsibilities will include: Welding and machining to perform line bore work Welding various types of metal and various welding processes Machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials, to tight tolerance specifications, per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including manual lathe, horizontal boring mill, vertical boring mill, horizontal saw, overhead crane, forklift and other related equipment & tooling.
Requirements include:
Proven welding capabilities for various types of metals, and with various processes, specifically manual processing. Familiarity with operation of line boring and other machine tooling. Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and indicators, among others. Requires exercising good judgment and utilizing best machining practices. Requires attention to detail. High school graduate. 3-5 years of welding and machining experience desired, preferably in a repair or industrial equipment maintenance-related environment, though other industry experience will be considered.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb+ pulling. Standing/Sitting Up and downstairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions. Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
