Carlsbad, NM Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 4x10 schedule; Fridays and occasional Saturdays as needed

Pay:

$35 - $40/hour DOE A long-term industrial client is seeking an experienced Welder for a hands-on fabrication role in Carlsbad. This person will weld piping, vessels and structural components while meeting applicable quality and safety requirements. Responsibilities Perform pipe, vessel and structural welding to drawings, specifications and welding procedures Fit, prepare and weld piping components, joints and assemblies Inspect completed welds for visible defects and quality requirements Perform repair or rework welding as needed Maintain welding equipment, tools and a safe work area Work overtime as needed to support production schedules Requirements At least 2 years of welding fabrication experience involving piping, vessels and/or structural work Ability to pass a weld test in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW and SAW processes Experience reading welding procedures, drawings and specifications Able to pass a drug test and background check US Citizen or Green Card holder required due to ITAR requirements Preferred Pressure vessel welding experience Familiarity with ASME, AWS and API welding codes
