WELDER Flexstaff Mason, OH Job Details Full-time $23 - $30 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications TIG welding Welding Certification MIG welding Manufacturing Full Job Description Well-established manufacturing company in the Mason, OH area is looking for a welder. The Welder/Fabricator position is responsible for supporting operations management by fabricating and welding parts to print/sketch using MIG and some TIG wire feed welders and variety of manual/CNC machine tools. Work with Production (Shop) Supervisor to order required supplies and determine what parts can be made in-house and still meet schedule. Must be able to work independently.
Essential Functions :
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner. Cut stock to size for weldments. Fabricate all components of a weldment (drill, tap, grind). Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to make fabrications. Ability to fixture large weldments. Experience modifying components to fit at assembly. Red line any changes to prints to be documented by engineering. Spray paint inside and outside fabrications. Assist other disciplines during all phases of the project (electricians, fabrication, engineering, etc.) Safely operate fork truck for material/equipment workflow. Overtime may be necessary as work load dictates (weekdays or weekends). Use measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical bed mill, drill press, chop saw, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment. Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling. Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. Ability to plan workflow to meet project schedules. Safely operate fork truck for material workflow. When machine shop volume is slow, ability to assist mechanical assembly techs with machine assembly. Applicant Qualities:
3-5 years of experience with MIG and TIG welding mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel in an industrial environment. AWS certification is preferred. Ability to use machine tools (drill press, bed mill, saw) Good organization skills and the ability to function with minimal supervision. High mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with proper rigging techniques. Proper use of power hand tools (drill, jig saw, hammer drill, etc.) Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements. Previous welding experience required.
