Full Job Description About Us:
Ace Metal Works is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in metal spools, carriers, and wire handling solutions since 1946. As a trusted supplier to the wire, cable, and industrial materials industries, we take pride in delivering quality, precision, and reliability in every product. We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Welder to support our production of metal fabrications.
Position Overview:
We're looking for an experienced and dependable welder to join our fabrication team. This is a hands-on role focused on MIG welding, fitting, and assembly of mild steel components used in the production of wire carriers and spools.

Second shift, 3:15PM-1:45
PM, Monday-Thursday Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints and specifications Read and interpret fabrication drawings Fit and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools Perform basic grinding, drilling, and cutting as part of the assembly process Inspect welds and finished assemblies for accuracy and quality Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication shop Ability to read mechanical drawings and tape measures accurately Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metalworking Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Must be able to lift and move parts up to 50lbs on a regular basis Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and work in various positions for extended periods Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience welding light to medium gauge steel Forklift or overhead crane experience Basic mechanical assembly experience
