About the Role Join our team as a Bridge Fabrication Welder, where you will play a critical role in constructing the essential infrastructure that connects communities across the nation. You will utilize your expertise in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes to ensure the structural integrity of complex bridge components, contributing to high-profile projects that demand the highest standards of precision and safety. Bridge Welding Code requirements. Interpret complex shop drawings, weld symbols, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to ensure project accuracy. Perform essential metal preparation tasks, including grinding, gouging, and cleanup, to maintain superior weld quality. Operate overhead cranes and specialized fixtures safely to maneuver large-scale steel components during the fabrication process. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace while adhering to all AISC and OSHA safety protocols. Collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and meet rigorous project timelines. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in structural steel welding. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and weld specifications. Strong commitment to safety, quality control, and precision craftsmanship. Proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, high-production environment. Preferred Skills Current or previous AWS certifications, specifically D1.1 or D1.5. Prior experience working within an AISC-certified fabrication facility. Familiarity with advanced welding techniques such as Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).
