Welder/Fabricator Morrison Industries - Morrison, TN Build More Than Parts. Build Your Future. We're looking for someone who knows how to build things, not someone who just knows how to weld. At Morrison, our welders/fabricators do more than sit at a welding table all day. We build real products, solve problems, work with different materials and equipment, and sometimes have to figure out the best way to get something done. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work without being micromanaged, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. What you'll actually do MIG weld and fabricate metal components to print and specification Read and understand drawings, measurements and weld symbols Fit, tack and weld parts accurately Use grinders, saws, press brakes and other fabrication equipment Work with different types and thicknesses of metal Inspect your own work and fix problems when something isn't right Work with other departments to get the job done Help solve fabrication and production problems Keep your work area clean, organized and safe Work safely while maintaining quality and productivity What we're looking for You don't have to know everything. But you do need to know how to work. We're looking for someone who: Has MIG welding experience Has fabrication experience — not just welding experience Can read a tape measure and follow a drawing Can use common fabrication tools and equipment Pays attention to detail Can work independently Shows up, works hard and takes ownership of their work Can take direction without needing constant supervision Is willing to learn new processes and take on different work Works well with others Understands that safety and quality aren't optional 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience is preferred, but we're more interested in what you can actually do than how long you've been doing it. This is Morrison. It's not for everybody. Things move. Priorities change. We make different products. You may wear more than one hat during the day.
