Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, ensuring they meet technical specifications and project deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse materials and advanced fabrication techniques in a fast-paced environment. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Measure, mark, and cut metal materials such as sheet metal, using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutters, and power tools to achieve precise dimensions. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding parts together with hand tools and mechanical fabrication equipment. Use measuring instruments such as measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure accuracy throughout the fabrication process. Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of welding and fabrication activities to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members on assembly projects on construction sites or within fabrication shops, ensuring quality control at every stage. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication. Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings for mechanical fabrication projects. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and other fabrication machinery safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication processes, and assembly techniques. Experience working with structural steel or sheet metal in accordance with safety standards and AWS guidelines is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for manufacturing or construction projects. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
