$20•24/Hour Welder•Fabrication Team Top Metal Solutions is seeking skilled and motivated Welders to join our growing fabrication team. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on welding experience who want to continue developing their production and fabrication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Summary The Welder is responsible for production welding and basic fabrication of metal components and assemblies while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform GMAW welding on metal components and fabricated assemblies. Assist with FCAW-G welding as needed. Read and follow work orders, shop drawings, and basic blueprints. Fit, align, weld, grind, and finish fabricated parts. Inspect welds and identify basic defects. Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following PPE requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
1-3 years of welding experience preferred. Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience required. Experience performing GMAW welds in 1G and 2F positions. Basic FCAW-G welding experience preferred. Ability to weld in flat and horizontal positions. Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements. Basic blueprint reading skills. Experience using fabrication tools and shop equipment. Strong understanding of welding safety procedures. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with metal fabrication or structural welding. Experience operating fabrication equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly. Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environment. Ability to safely work around welding equipment and machinery.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a metal fabrication and manufacturing facility. Employees may be exposed to heat, sparks, dust, noise, and heavy equipment. Proper PPE is required at all times.
