Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for welding and assembling precision sheet metal components to meet production and quality standards. This position primarily involves welding thin gauge aluminum sheet metal (.050"-.125"). Candidates should be comfortable with precision welding techniques, heat control, and working with lightweight materials. This is not heavy structural welding—attention to detail, consistency, and finish quality are critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on thin gauge aluminum sheet metal and light-gauge steel components Weld and assemble precision parts with a focus on fit, finish, and minimal distortion Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications Grind, clean, and finish welds as needed Occasionally weld galvanneal components and light structural items (e.g., ladders) Work closely with team members across fabrication, assembly, and quality Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Experience with MIG welding (TIG experience a plus) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience welding thin gauge aluminum (.050"-.125") strongly preferred Experience with stainless steel or aluminum fabrication Familiarity with fabrication equipment (press brake, shear, etc.) AWS certification or equivalent (preferred but not required)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment (heat, noise, etc.)

Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
