Job Description Perform welding on assigned projects by staging and setting up materials and equipment. Responsible for fitting and welding of various types of metal using a MIG process. This position requires prior knowledge of basic welding techniques and a proficient ability to weld. Strict adherence and awareness of proper safety techniques is essential. Accurate measurements, and the ability to read and use a tape measure is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Welding of metals in varying thickness Read and interpret blueprints Inspect welds for accuracy Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts Change wire, welding, as needed Change gas tanks, as needed Tracking of hours and tasks performed based on necessity of project. Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and working areas in clean, neat, and orderly condition; use prescribed safety equipment and follow safety rules. Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous welding experience (2 years) OR the completion of a certified welding training program. Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs. Attention to detail. Ability to weld metal at varying degrees of width (16ga to 1-1/2" thick) Equipment Used Lincoln Power Mig 250 and

Forklift Rigging equipment 4-1/2" angle grinder Simple hand tools Physical Requirements Ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push objects weighing up to 50lbs. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to visually identify and distinguish colors. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Ability to work in tight spaces and/or under difficult lighting. Prolonged stooping, kneeling, walking and standing. May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots Ability to pass required Medical Evaluations; Respirator Physical Exam.
