Non-Exempt Job Summary Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts using MIG and/or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required. Key Responsibilities Set up welding machines based on the job at hand. Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding required MIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steel Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards Must wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding gloves Must be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and angles Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment. Follow company rules and policies Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task Follow safety rules and quality standards Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner Must show up at work on time and as scheduled. Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience required Two years of experience with MIG or TIG welding required Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferred Current & valid certification a plus Ability to read blueprints Basic math skills Work Environment This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
