JOB DESCRIPTION

GREER Steel LLC is seeking several punctual and hard working Welder/Fabricator in the Tacoma area. This experienced level position will be responsible for welding steel for various applications, tracking plasma, and some metal fabrication for steel tanks. Daily tasks include working safely at all times and proper use of shop tools. Ideal applicants will demonstrate strong attention to detail; reliable attendance; teamwork and communication; and a strong work ethic.

• This employer conducts pre-employment and random drug testing, and reference checks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of recent experience in hard wire/MIG (solid core) and dual shield (flux core) to pass employer weld test
• Must have actual shop experience and the ability to use general and specific shop tools such as: shear, saw, torch, plasma tracking tools
• Must have own tools (wrenches, squares, fabrication tools, etc.)
• Must meet/pass a weld test as required by the employer as a condition of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Sub Arc welding and Air Arc gouging experience is a plus

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE

FT, 40 HRS, M - F, day or swing shifts, depending on business need. 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Hours may change without notice and opportunity for some overtime.

SALARY / WAGE / BENEFITS

Competitive hourly wage depending on experience Medical, Dental and Vision after 90 days, Vacation, Sick and Holiday Pay after 6 months, Retirement after 1 year.

Special Skills :

Hard wire and dual shield welding experiencePress brake and roll experience is a plus!

Sub Arc welding and Air Arc gouging is a plus!
