Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and adhering to safety protocols. This role involves working with various metal materials, utilizing both MIG and TIG welding techniques, and interpreting technical drawings to produce high-quality welded components. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the creation of precision metal structures and parts. Duties Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on a variety of metals including sheet metal and structural components according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and tolerances. Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently. Fabricate metal parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials in accordance with AWS standards. Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all safety protocols are followed during welding operations. Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects requiring mechanical knowledge and precision welding skills. Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to confirm weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Adhere to safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of gas cylinders, power tools, and welding equipment. Experience Proven experience in metal fabrication with a focus on MIG and TIG welding techniques. Previous work in a fabrication shop environment is preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding practices. Experience with plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Ability to work with various metal materials including steel, aluminum, and other alloys. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations including gas handling and power tool usage. Mechanical knowledge combined with shop math skills necessary for precise fabrication tasks. This position is integral to our manufacturing operations requiring attention to detail, technical skill in welding processes (both MIG and TIG), safety consciousness, and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings for high-quality production outcomes.
