Job Description

Campaign Director Start Date:

1-3 Weeks Grassroots is hiring a Full-Time Campaign Director to lead teams working to engage voters for Colorado's upcoming election! We have a lot of work to do, and now is the time to take action. Are you passionate about making Colorado a more affordable and livable place for all? Do you want to help elect democrat candidates who share your values? As a Director, you will: Engage the public directly, educating community members around democratic issues and helping create vote plans to ensure their participation in the upcoming election. Lead a team fighting for real change! From protecting reproductive rights to advancing environmental justice and defending LGBTQ+ freedoms.

Job Functions:
Recruitment:

Build a team by recruiting from within the local community. Interview prospective staff and make hiring decisions.

Staff Management:

Teach canvassing skills and educate staff on progressive issues. Work with your staff in individual and group settings, with a particular focus on developing leaders. Cultivate a welcoming and motivating atmosphere.

Canvassing:

Canvass in the field to train new and seasoned staff, provide context for issues, and help expand voter participation.

Administration/Legal:

Manage office budget, payroll, performance, and logistics. Work with HR/Legal to ensure compliance. Work 50-55 hours/week with a flexible schedule, so as to effectively lead the team until the end of the campaign.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and motivational skills, strong work ethic, and a passion for political change are essential. 2 years of leadership experience Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work within a team, possess proven leadership abilities, and be able to handle substantial responsibility. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also crucial qualifications. Prior field or canvassing experience is a plus but not required. $4,800.00 per month
