Community Trust Credit Union is seeking a People and Partnerships Coordinator to drive business development, employee engagement, and visibility throughout the credit union's field of membership. This role develops and strengthens strategic partnerships, generates business opportunities, coordinates employee-focused events, and creates social media initiatives that enhance membership growth and community impact. What You'll Do As our People and Partnerships Coordinator, you will help expand CTCU's reach by building relationships with businesses, community organizations, and partners throughout the credit union's field of membership. You will identify opportunities for membership growth, generate qualified leads, and represent the credit union through outreach, presentations, financial education sessions, and community engagement. You will also support internal culture by planning and coordinating employee engagement events and activities that strengthen morale, connection, and organizational pride. In addition, this role will create and manage social media content that supports consistent brand messaging, promotes credit union initiatives, and tracks engagement and campaign effectiveness. This position is ideal for someone who is outgoing, organized, creative, and relationship-focused, with the ability to balance business development, event coordination, data analysis, and communication across multiple audiences. Requirements for the People and Partnerships Coordinator Role Responsibilities Identify, develop, and pursue business development opportunities that support membership and organizational growth. Generate qualified leads through networking, community outreach, referrals, email campaigns, social media, and strategic partnerships. Conduct presentations, meetings, and financial education sessions for individuals, businesses, and community organizations. Plan and coordinate employee engagement events and activities that support morale, connection, and organizational culture. Create, curate, and manage social media content across multiple platforms while ensuring consistent brand messaging and alignment with marketing objectives. Monitor audience engagement and prepare reporting on campaign effectiveness, conversion, engagement metrics, membership growth, business development results, and event participation. Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services, competitor offerings, market trends, and member preferences. Qualifications Excellent presentation, networking, and public speaking abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an outgoing, relationship-focused personality. Experience with business development, community relations, employee engagement, marketing, or a related field preferred. Strong written communication skills and experience creating engaging content. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. One month to twelve months of similar or related experience preferred. A two-year college degree, specialized certification, on-the-job provided training, or equivalent job-related experience and education preferred. Some of the things we look for in a People and Partnerships Coordinator are: Must be available to attend evening and weekend events. Must be able to travel regularly between branches in Lake County, Illinois. Home base is located in Gurnee, but will travel in Lake County area regularly. Must be able to travel to business partners throughout Lake, McHenry, and Kenosha counties. This is a fully on-site position. Physical presence is an essential function of the role, and remote work is not available. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently. You may begin your contribution on the first pay period of the calendar quarter after one full month of employment. Entry is quarterly. Safe Harbor contributions. CTCU provides every eligible employee a contribution of 3% of compensation. In order to participate in the employer contributions under Safe Harbor, you must be 21 years of age, have 12 months of service and work at least 1,000 hours during that 12 months. Safe Harbor funds are 100% vested and employees who have met eligibility requirements are eligible to receive the Safe Harbor contribution by completing one hour of service. Safe Harbor entry is semi-annually.
