We are seeking a strategic, highly entrepreneurial Major Gifts & Capital Campaign Officer (20 hours/week) to drive the next phase of our campaign and bolster our annual major donor pipeline. As a key partner to the Executive Director and fundraising committees, you will manage our major donor pipeline, convert campaign prospects into investors, and design intimate stewardship experiences right here on the soil. If you are a seasoned fundraiser who balances high-level strategic planning with a hands-on, community-first work ethic, we want you on our team. Key Responsibilities Campaign Strategy & Portfolio Management Lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a dedicated portfolio of individual major gift prospects and capital campaign donors. Establish clear, data-driven moves management strategies to transition annual donors into multi-year capital campaign pledge-makers. Partner directly with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Campaign Committees to prepare for and execute high-value donor solicitations. Frontline Fundraising & Engagement Personally solicit major gifts and multi-year pledges aligned with campaign financial targets. Coordinate immersive cultivation opportunities, including individual farm tours, donor meetings, calls, and exclusive campaign-specific events. Craft highly personalized, compelling, and timely proposals, pledge agreements, and campaign communications. Work with the development and communications staff to collaborate on donor activities and enhance strategy throughout all development efforts. Stewardship & Infrastructure Build and nurture strong, ongoing relationships with donors. Develop and manage meaningful donor stewardship opportunities and experiences that deepen engagement, strengthen relationships, and demonstrate the impact of their philanthropic support. Author persuasive gift proposals, customized pledge agreements, progress updates, and personalized acknowledgment letters that connect donors to tangible farm outcomes. Maintain accurate donor records and campaign tracking logs to regularly report on campaign progress to leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
5+ years of proven fundraising experience in the non-profit sector, with a track record of securing major gifts. Prior experience navigating a capital campaign cycle is highly preferred.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional active listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak passionately and authentically with diverse stakeholders—from corporate philanthropists to local community leaders.
Writing Excellence:
Superior written communication skills to draft persuasive proposals, compelling case statements, and deeply personal gratitude letters.
