Full Job Description Summary:
The Arc of Union County Inc. is a leading provider of person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering a variety of programs and services. The Assistant Executive Director of Development and Marketing (DMC) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, overseeing, and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program. The goal of this program is to secure financial resources from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other sources to support the agency's budget and development strategies. The incumbent will project contributions to the annual budget, report on gift revenues, and provide progress updates. Serving as the agency's principal fundraising officer and grants administrator, the Assistant Executive Director, DMC, will design long-range strategic priorities, execute corporate and foundation proposal writing, and conduct donor prospecting and research. This role involves managing the organization's fundraising efforts, which may include planned giving, principal gifts, annual funds, multi-year fundraising campaigns (including a potential capital campaign), and special events. Additionally, the Assistant Executive Director will design, develop, and market a compelling case for support.
Skills:
Proficient in Windows software. Strong preference for experience in optimizing the use of philanthropy and fundraising software, such as Blackbaud CRM or Raiser's Edge.
Experience:
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible fundraising experience. Proven success in engaging various donor segments, including individuals, companies, corporations, and foundations . Management experience, with the ability to motivate and lead a team, set objectives, manage staff performance, and communicate goals effectively to the board of directors or volunteers.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in marketing, Communications, or Liberal Arts Membership in the Association for Fundraising Professionals. Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) from the American Marketing Association (AMA).
