You will take pride in developing outstanding written materials, generating earned coverage results that exceed expectations, and putting in the hard work necessary to help our clients strengthen relationships with their most important stakeholders. You will obsess over the details because you know getting it right builds trust and trust fosters sustained success. The successful Public Relations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of PR programs for assigned clients, coordinating projects, timelines, vendors, and internal partners to ensure deliverables are completed on time and aligned with approved strategy. You serve as the primary contact for daily client needs, proactively identify issues, and escalate strategic considerations to senior team members. Your focus is on dependable execution, clear communication, and maintaining strong working client relationships. At The Martin Group, we love what we do and care greatly about how we do it. What You'll Do Serve as the day-to-day client contact, overseeing communications needs, creative services, media monitoring, vendors, and any outside consultants or platforms to help clients maintain a favorable public image Support the PR team in developing press releases, media advisories, story pitches, scripts, speeches, talking points, stakeholder communications, blog content, social media posts, and other PR materials Write compelling, on-brand content across earned, digital and social channels, adapting tone and style to different audiences and campaigns Assist in leading media outreach — pitching stories, fielding media inquiries, and managing client/media relationships Lead complex earned media monitoring and reporting programs to show our clients the impact of our work Organize press conferences and media availabilities; coordinate media interviews in-person and remotely Attend networking events, media events, and client/partner meetings to represent PR campaigns and activities Create and manage project and budgets, keeping work on track and within scope Build strong community and media relationships that support future business opportunities Stay current on news, digital trends, and PR tactics, and understand how to drive audience engagement Communicate effectively across the client and agency team, resolving issues proactively and choosing the right channel for the situation Take ownership of individual deliverables while contributing to team goals and agency growth Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail in every aspect of your work Understand and advance the agency's cultural ethos of "The Difference is Making One" What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent experience 4-6 years of experience in public relations; agency experience preferred Strong writing skills across a range of styles, tones, and formats Proficiency with social platforms (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and standard business tools (Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Dropbox) A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to consistently meet deadlines Sound judgment, discretion, and strong problem-solving skills A team-first mindset and genuine enthusiasm for client, community, and agency success
