Position Summary:

Restore Hope is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Communications & Engagement Specialist to help tell the stories of the Thrive Iowa initiative and support local coordinators across western Iowa. This position is based in Sioux City and will work alongside other communications team members to ensure statewide coverage. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable creating social media content, designing graphics, writing newsletters, and leading communications training for local partners. Responsibilities Capture photos and video from Thrive Iowa communities Create and manage content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Design graphics, flyers, presentations, and promotional materials using Canva and/or the Adobe Suite Write and distribute newsletters and email campaigns using Mailchimp or another e-mail marketing software Assist with content planning Provide communications coaching and media training to county coordinators and community partners Help maintain brand consistency across all communications Monitor engagement metrics and recommend ways to increase audience reach and impact Support media relations efforts and help identify local storytelling opportunities. Regular travel throughout Iowa is expected, averaging about two days per week, with a primary focus on western Iowa communities. Qualifications Strong writing and editing skills Experience with photography and videography Experience managing social media accounts Proficiency with Canva or similar graphic design platforms Experience with Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable speaking to groups and conducting trainings

Salary Range:
