Part-Time (15-25 hours per week) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Marketing & Brand Management Develop engaging marketing materials to promote United Way programs, events, campaigns, and initiatives. Maintain consistent branding across all print, digital, and promotional materials. Design flyers, brochures, newsletters, presentations, signage, and promotional pieces using Canva and other design platforms. Maintain an organized library of marketing assets, photos, logos, and templates. Social Media & Digital Communications Manage and maintain United Way's social media platforms. Create, schedule, and publish engaging content that highlights organizational impact, events, volunteers, donors, and community partners. Monitor social media engagement and respond to inquiries as appropriate. Track analytics and recommend strategies to increase engagement and reach. Website Management Maintain and update the organization's website to ensure information remains current and accurate. Publish news stories, event information, blogs, and program updates. Monitor website functionality and recommend improvements to enhance the user experience. Podcast & Storytelling Coordinate and produce the United Way podcast, including guest scheduling, episode planning, recording logistics, and promotion. Develop compelling stories that showcase community impact through written articles, photography, and video. Assist with video creation and editing for social media and promotional campaigns. Media & Public Relations Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and public service announcements. Coordinate media interviews and cultivate relationships with local media outlets. Track media coverage and assist with public relations initiatives. Community Outreach & Events Assist with planning and promoting fundraising events, workplace campaigns, and community engagement activities. Represent United Way at community events, resource fairs, networking opportunities, and outreach activities. Coordinate event marketing materials, signage, and promotional campaigns. Assist with event logistics, registration, volunteer support, and onsite marketing activities. Communications Develop content for newsletters, email campaigns, annual reports, sponsorship materials, and organizational publications. Support workplace campaign communications and promotional efforts. Assist with donor recognition and sponsorship acknowledgment materials. Help maintain the annual communications and marketing calendar. General Work collaboratively with staff to promote organizational initiatives. Stay informed of marketing trends and recommend innovative engagement strategies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with social media management and content creation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva; experience with website content management systems preferred. Photography, videography, and video editing experience is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for community events. Work Environment Part-time position averaging 15-25 hours per week with a flexible work schedule. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support organizational events, outreach activities, workplace campaigns, or to provide coverage as needed. Local travel throughout the Mohawk Valley region is required for meetings, community events, outreach activities, and media opportunities. Work is performed in both an office setting and at community locations, with frequent interaction with staff, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
