Job summary:
This full-time employee will be an important member of the Development team and will assist with and support all aspects of coordinating the development department's activities. This employee will also be expected to support cultivation, engagement, and relationship building between the members of the development team and Orange Grove donors/supporters. This employee will help coordinate volunteer projects that result in increased engagement of potential donors with Orange Grove, and will be expected to manage projects and volunteers in a database, including data input/tracking/management/reporting. This employee will assist with grant research, writing, development, tracking, and reporting, which is a significant part of agency fundraising efforts. In working on grants, the employee will necessarily have to work with other departments to obtain information for all aspects of grant application, administration, and reporting. Additionally, this employee will be responsible for managing, stimulating, engaging in, and growing internal communications across departments, which has been identified as critical to staff/employee satisfaction and morale. This employee will use current tools available to increase communications inter-departmentally and across the organization and take on as a significant responsibility reducing or eliminating the "silo" barriers to an effective "one agency" culture. This employee will be tasked with researching other low- and high-tech options for communications and be comfortable making recommendations to department supervisors. The successful applicant will participate in developing content for the intranet, the website and social media. This employee will write, design, send, and track internal newsletters as well as re-work content for use in other applications. In this role, and because of the interaction with donors and funders, professionalism, responsiveness, tact, clarity, and confidentiality are all critical to the successful performance of the job. This employee will work with the Development team to develop sharable content, multi-channel engagement strategies; plan, prepare, and execute direct messaging campaigns on social media as well as crowdfunding platforms; maintain accurate records in CRM program; and track engagement analytics.

Experience:
Preference given to applicants with a background in English, writing, marketing, public relations, communications, fundraising, and development. Experience in or knowledge of the following a plus: graphic design, data/database management, people/project management.
Physical requirements:
Health must be adequate to allow for efficient completion of duties and responsibilities. Physical examination and TB skin test required prior to employment.

Strong organizational skills and planning abilities, including calendaring and scheduling; strong relatability with donors; strong relatability with colleagues to achieve common goals of success for the organization; ability to work both on teams and independently; ability to work inter-departmentally; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong attention to detail and quality; use analytics to make recommendations for improving engagement and performance; adept using programs for content development (e.g., Office365, G Suite, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe, video/video editing software), or ability and willingness to learn. Excellent knowledge and command of word processing, general computing, multiple software platforms.
