The Community Colleges of Spokane is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Corporate Training & Communications Commerce Specialist in the District Corporate & Continuing Education Division.
GENERAL DEFINITION
Under general direction, the Corporate Training & Communications Commerce Specialist will develop and orchestrate the operations and revenue flow of corporate training programs with community organizations and business clients partnering with Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) Corporate Training & Continuing Education (CCE).
This position will:
facilitate contract procurement through lead generation and utilization of state contracting systems such as Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS); perform proposal and contract writing in addition to analysis reports for potential client Request For Proposal (RFP) opportunities; serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications with clients; coordinate training logistics; travel to training locations; report outcomes, develop budgets, invoices and maintain matching-dollar documentation; assist in developing and maintaining the Corporate Training instructional talent pool; and ensure CCS and contractual partners meet all agreed to obligations. This position is also responsible for acting as lead in reviewing, developing, and coordinating electronic communications for all Continuing Education and Corporate Training outreach, to include email marketing, social media posting, the division's website, and hard-copy brochures.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction, develop and execute all corporate training lifecycle processes needed for contract awards and business proposals for community partners/businesses. This includes application for Job Skills Programs (JSP), Customized Training Programs (CTP), and other funding types as well as facilitating contract procurement through lead generation and utilization of state contracting systems such as WEBS. In these duties, functionally perform proposal and contract writing in addition to analysis reports for potential client RFP opportunities; Orchestrate and coordinate contracted training delivered by the educational institution.
Maintain budgets, timelines, and track revenue lines of all corporate contracts; work with District Budgeting office to invoice State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) monthly or quarterly for payment; collect and maintain all matching-dollar documentation provided by the business partner; and submit all required fiscal reporting and accountability documentation.
This work will require travel to training sites to work directly with business.
Under general direction, oversee, develop, and coordinate K-12 corporate training contracts with client Primary Points of Contacts and liaise with K-12 District Superintendents, Administrators, and Union Representatives concerning contracts.
Perform complex quarterly class scheduling for all CCE corporate trainings and related open enrollment offerings using advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, ctcLink (PeopleSoft), and room scheduling software (25Live). Independently coordinate the details associated with multiple classes and sites, track training details and revenue flows, and meet deadlines of quarterly classes.
Work as point of contact for corporate training faculty and training sites, including outside agencies or businesses.
Resolve schedule issues with faculty, sites, or client training locations. Process faculty training contracts in ctcLink, cancel and reschedule classes as needed. Work with faculty, training sites, and corporate clients to explain policies and activities and recommend alternative courses of action if necessary. This work will require travel to training sites to ensure effective trainings.
Correspond or meet with new faculty regarding hiring paperwork, orientation, and scheduling. Generate faculty contracts for HR review. Monitor faculty workload hours to ensure the hours do not exceed maximums.
Responsible for electronic communications and developing marketing/communication plans for all Corporate & Continuing Education outreach; including email marketing, social media posting, and managing the department website. Coordinate deadlines, brand recognition, and curating content for quarterly print brochure.
Resolve student and class discrepancies, explain policies and procedures and recommend alternative courses of action.
Create Purchase Requisitions in ctcLink. Independently purchase office supplies, computer handouts and classroom supplies for corporate trainings.
Provide weekly and monthly corporate training key performance indicator (KPIs) reports and training schedules for CCE leadership review. Use business communication skills to provide client evaluation summary letters post training.
Develop internal and external communications/marketing plan with CCE Leadership and oversee implementation and maintenance of all prescribed dates and timelines.
Participate in appropriate campus committees, organizations and groups. Provide dynamic, creative solutions to all prescribed areas of responsibility.
Model professional decorum and mutual respect in all personal interactions.
Complies with district policy, procedures and directives, state and federal regulations, orders and statute and collective bargaining agreements.
Support and advance the CCS strategic plan, and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
) Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution. Or an equivalent mix of education and experience that demonstrates the candidate meets all competency requirements for this position. Ability to provide data analytics through performance indicator reports (KPIs) to track and provide feedback on marketing initiatives, client training outcomes, quarterly contract acquisitions, and department contract training revenue flows. Experience providing high quality internal or external Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Client (B2C) customer service in a dynamic workplace environment. Strong writing/editing skills showing proficiency in sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling competency within a business writing and marketing setting. Ability & comfortability to provide a lead role in contract/RFP writing, customer acquisition, and lead generation utilizing resources such as WEBS, traditional cold calling of clients, online inquiry responses, and other customer acquisition methods. Solid understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO)/Social media) and market research methods. Familiarity in best practices for maintaining business or department webpages and other digital and/or social media platforms in order to attract and direct clients to services. Ability to coordinate and work with faculty, business clients, and students with direct understanding on how these services connect to assigned program budgets. Strong comfortability using computers, databases, and Microsoft Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, etc.) for day-to-day office business application and ability to work within Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas. Familiarity with Client Retention Management (CRM) software such as PeopleSoft, and/or Student Management Systems (SMS) such as ctcLink, and/or Student non-credit Registration Systems such as CampusCE. Ability to effectively organize multiple work assignments, involving competing priorities, to produce work products that are accurate, of high quality and meet deadlines. Strong creativity and "big picture" thinking concerning advertising programs through marketing and communications. ) Two (2) or more years of relevant, demonstrable work experience (One year of experience may be counted for a completed Graduate-level degree from an accredited institution where graduate course work clearly shows relevancy to the position). Examples may include communications, business administration, human resources, finance, project management, education, quantitative statistical methods, etc. Knowledge or experience with a Student Management System (PeopleSoft, Banner, etc.) in addition to contract acquisition systems such as Washington Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) and/or the Federal System of Award Management (SAM). Familiarity with JSP and CTP grant and contract management as well as revenue reporting. Knowledge of self-supported business and classroom operations in a corporate training or college environment.

: $ 60,968 Total compensation is an estimate based upon adding the following amounts together: Base compensation of $44,808 , plus Please note: Washington State classified employees will receive a general salary increase effective July 1, 2022. Current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates, plus Median retirement fund contributions. The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices. Person hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. An offer of employment will not carry with it any responsibility or obligation on the part of the District to sponsor an H1-B visa. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a normal, temperature-controlled office environment. Work is sedentary in nature. Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens. Visual focus and strain. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full-time schedule (12-months, 40-hours a week). 6-month probationary period; may be extended up to 12 months. This position is overtime eligible. Proof of
