Graduate Programs Coordinator - College of Business, Communication, and Technology
DESCRIPTION OF JOB
The Graduate Programs Coordinator provides high-level administrative, operational, and student-support leadership within the College of Business, Communication, and Technology. This role serves as the primary liaison between graduate students, faculty, university administration, and outside entities ensuring that academic programs run smoothly and students are supported from enrollment through graduation.
Responsibilities:
Academic and Administrative Coordination Coordinate day-to-day program operations, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards Oversee course scheduling and ensure adjunct faculty payment occurs. Assist the director in compiling data for reports and enrollment trends. Assist the director in creating systems and processes within the graduate programs to improve the student experience and retention. Assist the director in evaluating, designing, and implementing administrative systems to improve departmental workflow and communication. Assist the director in hiring adjunct faculty both domestically and ROW. Student Success and Advising Coordinate orientation and learning sessions for graduate students to familiarize them with college resources and practices. Coordinate with advising to monitor student academic standing, ensuring degree requirements and milestones are met. Act as the first point of contact for student questions and filter questions to appropriate parties.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education administration or student services. Proficiency with Student Information Systems (SIS) and CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Banner). Excellent professional communication and the ability to handle sensitive FERPA-regulated data.
