One on-site content session per month + remote content editing and scheduling About Plants Are History Plants Are History is a botanical design studio focused on thoughtfully curated plants, botanical design, and creating beautiful spaces through living materials. We are looking for a creative, visually driven Content Creator & Social Media Scheduler to work with us on an ongoing monthly basis. This role is ideal for someone who understands that great social media content is not just about following trends. Everything we create needs to support and communicate the brand. The Role We are looking for someone who can come on-site once per month for approximately 2-3 hours to capture a variety of high-quality photo and video content. The content creator will then edit, organize, and schedule that content throughout the month. The goal is to batch-create content during one monthly content session and strategically repurpose that content across multiple posts. You will not be expected to come on-site every week. We also understand that not all content needs to come from the monthly shoot. Our team will create and provide additional photo and video content when applicable, and we want the selected creator to be able to incorporate that content into the overall content strategy and calendar. Monthly Content Deliverables

Short-Form Video 4 Reels / short-form videos per week Approximately 16-18 Reels per month Content may include: Brand storytelling Plant and product features Botanical education Behind-the-scenes content Design inspiration Installations/projects Seasonal content Engaging short-form social content
Feed Content 1 carousel, graphic, or photo post per week Approximately 4-5 posts per month
Total Monthly Output Approximately 20-22 pieces of content per month The expectation is that this content will be produced efficiently through batch filming, photography, editing, and strategic repurposing of content captured during the monthly on-site session, supplemented by content provided by our team when applicable.

We are not expecting 20+ separate filming sessions or completely independent productions. Content Scheduling The selected candidate will also be responsible for preparing and scheduling content.

Responsibilities include:

Creating a monthly content calendar Organizing content by posting date Writing captions Adding relevant hashtags Including appropriate calls-to-action Scheduling approved content Scheduling content to Instagram and Facebook Ensuring content is consistently posted according to the monthly calendar

Brand-First Content Creation This is the most important aspect of the position.

We are not looking for someone to simply create generic social media content or chase every trending format. Everything should follow the brand. The photography, videography, editing, music/audio, graphics, captions, messaging, tone, and overall visual aesthetic should feel cohesive and intentional. We want someone who can understand a brand and think: \"How do I tell this brand's story through content?\" The ideal candidate will be able to follow established brand direction while also bringing thoughtful creative ideas and suggestions to the table. You should have a strong visual eye and understand how individual pieces of content work together to create a recognizable brand presence.

Communication & Teamwork We believe the best content comes from collaboration and consistent communication.

This is not a role where we expect someone to work completely independently with little interaction.

We want this to feel like a team effort. Our team will also produce additional content throughout the month when opportunities arise. For example, if we capture a great installation, new plant arrival, behind-the-scenes moment, or other relevant content, we may provide that footage for the content creator to incorporate into the monthly content plan. What You Will NOT Be Responsible For This position is specifically focused on content creation, editing, and scheduling. You will not be responsible for: Creating Instagram/Facebook Stories Responding to DMs Responding to comments Community management Customer service Answering customer inquiries Managing the social media accounts on a day-to-day basis Running paid advertisements Managing ad campaigns Our internal team will handle the accounts, Stories, engagement, customer communication, and day-to-day social media management.

We are looking for someone who is interested in a consistent, ongoing relationship rather than a one-time project. There may be opportunities to expand the scope and compensation as the business grows and our content needs evolve.
