Job Description

Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week | Hybrid $25-$30/hour | Approximately 4 Hours/Day Minimum 2-3 Days/Week In Person Potential to Grow Into Full-Time
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a highly creative, fast-moving Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor to work directly with an established San Francisco Bay Area luxury real estate broker and personal brand. There is an established point of view, deep industry expertise, luxury listings, media exposure, events, speaking opportunities, an existing content library, and a constant stream of things happening worth talking about. Now we want to dramatically increase the consistency, volume, reach and impact of that content. This role is for someone who can take what is already happening in the business and turn it into content—then make sure that content actually gets distributed. You will help us capture more, edit faster, post more consistently, repurpose intelligently and learn from what performs. The ultimate objective isn't simply followers or views. It's visibility → credibility → engagement → qualified leads.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
This is a hands-on content role. You will work directly with Team Lead to capture, edit, repurpose and publish a high volume of content across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and potentially TikTok. Some days you'll be filming. Some days you'll be editing. Some days you'll take one 10-minute video and turn it into five pieces of content. And sometimes you'll recognize that something happening in real time should be content and simply say: "We need to film this." You'll be responsible for: Filming short-form content primarily using an iPhone Capturing behind-the-scenes moments, property tours, listings, events, market commentary and day-to-day business content Editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other vertical video Editing and supporting longer-form YouTube content Taking long-form videos and identifying the best moments to clip into multiple short-form pieces Creating strong hooks and compelling first 1-3 seconds Adding captions, B-roll, graphics, music and fast-paced edits when appropriate Turning raw or relatively simple footage into content people actually want to watch Posting consistently across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and potentially TikTok Adapting content to each platform instead of simply posting the identical piece everywhere Optimizing titles, captions, thumbnails, keywords and formatting Maintaining an organized content calendar and content library Finding opportunities to repurpose existing content Testing different hooks, formats, lengths and topics Reviewing analytics to understand what is actually performing Identifying successful content and finding ways to create more of what works Staying current on platform trends, algorithm changes and emerging content formats Helping increase the overall volume and consistency of the brand's digital presence
THIS IS NOT JUST AN EDITING JOB
We're specifically looking for someone who understands social media distribution and performance. You should understand why someone stops scrolling. Why they keep watching. Why they share. Why one opening works and another doesn't. Why a 12-second video may outperform a beautifully produced 60-second video. And why something that works on Instagram may need to be packaged differently for YouTube or LinkedIn. We don't need every video to look like a commercial. Sometimes the best-performing content is an iPhone, a strong opinion, a compelling hook and smart editing. We care about performance as much as production quality.
YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT
IF... You naturally consume and study social media. You're constantly noticing new editing styles, hooks, formats and trends. You're comfortable filming someone with an iPhone and can make the footage look polished without needing an elaborate production setup. You're fast. You're organized. You can take initiative. And you don't wait to be told exactly what to do every day.
You should have:
Strong short-form video editing skills Experience with Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts Familiarity with YouTube long-form content Strong understanding of social media algorithms, retention and engagement Experience posting directly to social platforms Strong visual instincts An understanding of hooks, pacing and storytelling Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, AI editing platforms, Descript or similar editing platforms Canva skills Familiarity with AI-powered editing, clipping, captioning and content tools Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality Strong organization and follow-through
THE PERSON WE REALLY WANT
We want someone who sees content everywhere. If we're walking through an extraordinary property, you see three Reel ideas. If Milana makes an interesting comment during a conversation, you think, that's a hook. If we record a 15-minute market video, you immediately recognize the four 30-second clips buried inside it. If one Reel performs exceptionally well, your instinct isn't just to celebrate it. You want to understand why it worked and how we can build on it. You don't just complete a content calendar. You help create momentum.
ABOUT MILANA
You'll work directly with the Team Lead , an established San Francisco Bay Area luxury real estate broker with more than two decades of experience representing buyers, sellers and investors across San Francisco and the Silicon Valley Peninsula. This brand works with Ryan Serhant and the SERHANT brokerage. California and has an established personal brand, extensive industry experience, media exposure, leadership roles, luxury listings, speaking engagements and a deep library of expertise and market knowledge. The raw material is already here. Your role is to help capture more of it, package it intelligently and make sure far more people see it.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
Part-Time:
Approximately 20 hours/week Approximately 4 hours per day , with some flexibility based on filming schedules, listings and events. This is a hybrid position , with a minimum of approximately 2 days per week in person for filming, content capture and collaboration. Editing and other work may be completed remotely. $25-$30/hour , depending on skill level and experience. For an exceptional candidate who demonstrates the ability to take significant ownership of content production, editing, distribution and performance, there is an opportunity for this position to grow into a full-time role at $5,000/month. No professional camera equipment is required. We care far more about what you can create than what camera you own.
HOW TO APPLY
Please do not send a resume. We want to see your work.
Send us:
Links to 3-5 short-form videos you personally edited and/or filmed you don't have to be in it, Examples of social accounts you've created content for, if applicable The editing programs and content tools you use Your availability and ability to work in person at least twice per week One piece of content you've created that performed particularly well and why you believe it worked One example of a creator or personal brand whose content strategy you think is exceptional—and what they're doing right A short answer to this: If you inherited an established personal brand with great access, expertise and plenty to talk about—but wanted to significantly increase its content output, reach and lead generation—what would you do in your first 30 days? We're looking for someone who wants more than an editing gig. We want someone who wants to help turn great raw material into consistent visibility—and consistent visibility into business.
