- Shoot and edit photo and short-form video content, including on-the-spot capture at campus events and everyday student life
- Produce polished, social-first video formatted for each platform (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
- Create, plan, schedule, and publish posts and content across all social media platforms
- Write engaging, on-brand copy and captions for all content
- Coordinate with campus staff to ensure timely capture and posting of news, events, and student happenings
- Propose video concepts or graphic concepts that are built specifically for social-first performance, and collaborate on larger projects
- Monitor and respond to messages, posts, and comments across social media platforms daily
- Track and measure social media performance and KPIs, and deliver regular reporting to the Content Director
- Update and audit media calendars
- Use social marketing management tools such as HubSpot and Loomly
- Stay up to date with the latest social marketing practices, algorithm changes, and platform trends, and adjust strategy accordingly Knowledge / Skills
- Hands-on skill shooting and editing short-form, social-first video (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Rush, InShot, Adobe Premiere).
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, with the ability to adapt to trending platforms.
- Strong eye for visual storytelling and what performs on each platform.
- Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including hashtags, emojis, and platform-native voice.
- Understanding of social media and web traffic metrics, with the ability to translate data into content decisions.
- Ability to create and implement content with a high degree of accuracy and within compliance guidelines.
