POSITION SPECIFICS
The Enrollment Management Office at Penn State is seeking applications for the position of Web Content and Editorial Specialist. This role supports the development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives that advance the goals, programs, and services of the campus, academic, or administrative unit; serves as the primary owner of day-to-day web content and email design within all divisions of Enrollment Management; employs a variety of marketing, communications, and web strategies, including digital marketing and content development; coordinates the production of digital marketing collateral, supports campaign execution, monitors performance analytics, and ensures that communications align with organizational branding, accessibility standards, and strategic priorities. The Web Content and Editorial Specialist is responsible for: Maintainingaccurate, current, and user-focused contentthat follows best practices
Supporting ongoing digital content improvements and optimization
Working within established governance and workflow processes
Serving as a reliable point of contact for content-related needs
Using thecontent management system (CMS) and available content types
Adhering toestablishedintake and approval processes
Documenting and communicating requested changes effectively
Writing clear, concise, and structured content for web and CRM users
Understanding enrollment goals and key user audiences
Regularly reviewing andmaintaining Enrollment Management content areas
Planning for page building using content and content types in a way that supports the intended audience and goal
Managing assets, links, and metadata consistently in the CMS The Web Content and Editorial Specialist must: Follow accessibility guidelines including reviewingcompatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies; auditing both new and existing content for accessibility compliance; and structuring content for readability (headings,skimmability, content typeselection)
Follow and edit according to Penn State Brand Guidelines including applying brand voice and editorial standards consistently; writing in a clear, concise, and student-focused way; and writing effective headings,body copy, and metadata to supportmodern discovery channels, including search engines and AI platforms
Ensurecontent isaccurate, current, and relevantincluding addressing updatesin a timely mannerand participating in content audits, reviews, or planning efforts as needed
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $65,508.00 - $94,980.00.
