Job Description Jackson's Hardware is a 100% employee-owned ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company and the leading independent hardware store in Marin County. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing & Website Specialist to run our marketing programs and manage our established Shopify ecommerce store. This is a great opportunity for a marketing all-star with 1-3 years of experience across social media, content creation, and ecommerce, plus some retail experience. Social media is a big part of this role: you'll be the creative voice behind our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, so we're looking for someone with sharp creative instincts, a knack for video, and the multi-tasking chops to keep a dozen projects moving at once.

Pay:

$30.00

00 per hour, depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Own our social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including shooting, editing, and posting photo and video content that shows off Jackson's and our products
• Plan and execute promotions year-round
• Manage Jackson's Customer Loyalty program
• Design digital and print ads, from in-store flyers to website banners and social graphics
• Keep the website current by updating deals, promotions, and ad placements as they change
• Work with buyers to identify and execute in-store product promotions
• Maintain and grow our existing Shopify ecommerce store, including new product listings, seasonal updates, and site content
• Collaborate with management to ensure marketing and the website align with brand strategy and meet Jackson's standards
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations on the website Every Jackson's associate plays an important role in maintaining our culture of employee ownership.

This position typically works an 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm shift, with a one-hour lunch and two 10-minute breaks.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or ecommerce (retail experience a plus)
• Proven experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok; video editing skills strongly preferred
• Proficient with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar) for designing ads and promotional graphics
• Comfortable managing an ecommerce store in Shopify or a similar platform; basic

HTML/CSS

knowledge a plus

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays when needed
• Great understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and paid search (PPC)
• Excellent content creation and writing skills
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
