E-Commerce Web Specialist - Shopify & WooCommerce We are looking for a hands-on E-Commerce Web Specialist to manage and improve the day-to-day performance of multiple automotive and outdoor-product websites. This position combines e-commerce catalog management, website maintenance, front-end development, troubleshooting, and user-experience improvements across Shopify and WooCommerce. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently inside live e-commerce websites, managing complex product information, resolving technical issues, and making practical improvements without relying on an outside agency for routine work. This position will support several established brands, including CBI Offroad Fab, Prinsu Racks, Peak Suspension, and UpTOP Overland. You will work closely with our marketing, engineering, sales, customer service, and product teams to ensure our websites remain accurate, functional, consistent, and easy for customers to navigate. Key Responsibilities E-Commerce Catalog and Product Management Create, update, organize, and maintain product listings across Shopify and WooCommerce websites. Manage product titles, descriptions, pricing, SKUs, categories, collections, variants, custom fields, and product media. Build and maintain complex product configurations involving vehicle applications, model years, materials, finishes, options, and accessories. Confirm that product options, pricing, images, specifications, and compatibility information are accurate. Maintain proper inventory mapping and SKU relationships between websites and internal systems. Add and maintain SEO titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, URLs, and other on-page SEO elements. Coordinate product launches and website updates with marketing, sales, engineering, and operations. Website Navigation and Customer Experience Build and maintain main menus, dropdown menus, category structures, collections, filters, tags, and internal links. Improve product discovery and make it easier for customers to find products for their specific vehicle. Update homepage graphics, promotional banners, landing pages, sale messaging, and featured product sections. Review the customer journey from landing page through checkout and identify areas of confusion or unnecessary friction. Ensure website content and functionality perform properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Maintain consistent organization, branding, and navigation standards across all company websites. Website Troubleshooting and Support Identify, diagnose, and resolve routine website issues. Repair broken links, missing images, formatting problems, incorrect product options, and navigation errors. Troubleshoot cart, checkout, discount-code, shipping, and payment-related issues. Investigate conflicts involving WordPress plugins, Shopify apps, themes, page builders, and third-party integrations. Test website changes before and after deployment to reduce customer-facing errors. Escalate more complex development issues when necessary and provide clear documentation to outside developers or technology partners. Monitor website performance and address issues involving page speed, oversized images, scripts, and mobile usability. Front-End Website Development Make routine HTML5 and CSS updates to website pages and theme components. Implement minor JavaScript changes and maintain basic interactive website functions. Modify Shopify Liquid templates and sections as needed. Work with WordPress templates, PHP hooks, shortcodes, and child themes for routine website changes. Build and update landing pages using native editors and visual page builders. Maintain clean, organized, and documented website changes. Follow appropriate backup, staging, testing, and version-control practices whenever possible. Multi-Brand Website Management Coordinate product launches, promotions, pricing changes, and website updates across multiple brands. Maintain consistency in brand presentation while respecting the individual identity of each company. Manage cross-linking and cross-selling opportunities between complementary brands and products. Confirm that promotional messaging, banners, sale dates, discount structures, and product availability remain synchronized. Help establish repeatable standards for product pages, navigation, website updates, and quality control. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience managing both Shopify and WooCommerce websites. Working knowledge of WordPress administration and Shopify's administrative tools. Practical experience with HTML5, CSS, and basic JavaScript. Familiarity with Shopify Liquid. Familiarity with WordPress PHP, hooks, templates, plugins, and child themes. Experience creating and maintaining products with complex variants, options, custom fields, and SKU structures. Experience managing product categories, collections, filters, menus, and website navigation. Ability to diagnose and resolve common theme, plugin, app, and front-end website issues. Experience testing website functionality across desktop and mobile devices. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inaccurate or inconsistent website information. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage updates across several websites simultaneously. Ability to communicate clearly with marketing, engineering, customer service, sales, and outside development partners. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Experience with Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, or comparable visual page builders. Familiarity with hosting dashboards, DNS settings, FTP/SFTP, website backups, staging environments, and caching systems. Experience with product feeds, Google Merchant Center, Meta catalogs, or related e-commerce integrations. Familiarity with technical and on-page SEO best practices. Experience optimizing website images, page speed, and Core Web Vitals. Experience with Git or another version-control process. Experience working with ERP, inventory, product-information, or order-management integrations. Automotive aftermarket, powersports, outdoor recreation, manufacturing, or vehicle-fitment experience is a plus. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will: Keep product information, pricing, options, and vehicle applications accurate. Complete routine website updates efficiently and with minimal supervision. Reduce website errors and resolve customer-facing issues quickly. Improve navigation and make products easier for customers to find. Maintain consistent promotions and product launches across all company websites. Catch problems before they negatively affect customers or sales. Develop repeatable processes and documentation for ongoing website maintenance. Help increase website conversion rates through better organization, functionality, and usability. Ideal Candidate You are a strong fit for this role if you enjoy working directly inside e-commerce websites and take ownership of both accuracy and performance. You are equally comfortable building a product page, adjusting a menu, editing CSS, troubleshooting an app conflict, and testing the checkout experience. You understand that even small website errors can affect customer trust and company revenue. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to investigate problems instead of waiting for someone else to identify them. You can balance technical knowledge with an understanding of how real customers browse, compare, and purchase products online.
