Job Overview Novel Brands is looking for a creative and versatile Creative Design & Product Photography Assistant to support our in-house graphic designer and team on an ongoing, project-based basis. This is a very part-time, freelance-style position designed for someone who enjoys working across different creative areas rather than focusing on just one specialty. Projects may include product photography, photo editing, packaging, instruction manuals, e-commerce listing graphics, digital content, and other creative needs as they arise. We're especially interested in someone who is comfortable with technology and digital tools. Basic web development, Shopify, or e-commerce experience is a plus. This could be a great fit for a student, recent graduate, or early-career creative looking to build hands-on experience working on real consumer products sold across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and other channels. Responsibilities Shoot clean product photography for e-commerce listings using our in-house camera, lighting, and studio equipment Edit and retouch product photography as needed Assist our in-house graphic designer with packaging and packaging updates Help create and update product manuals, inserts, labels, and other product materials Assist with Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, and other e-commerce listing graphics and content Support digital and social content creation Prepare, resize, and organize creative assets for different platforms Assist with basic website or e-commerce content projects depending on experience Help with other creative projects as needs arise Qualifications Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is required Experience using Photoshop for photo editing, retouching, resizing, and preparing digital/e-commerce assets Experience using Illustrator for graphic design, layouts, packaging, and other product-related creative work At least 2 years of relevant experience or coursework in graphic design, photography, digital media, or a related creative field preferred Photography experience and familiarity with DSLR cameras preferred Strong attention to detail and visual consistency Comfortable learning new software, platforms, and creative tools Reliable and able to work independently on assigned projects Portfolio or examples of relevant creative work required Additional Skills That Are a Plus Adobe InDesign Lightroom Canva or Figma Basic HTML/CSS or web development Shopify or other e-commerce platforms Video editing or short-form content creation Experience creating content for Amazon or other online marketplaces You do not need experience in every area listed above. We're looking for someone creative, versatile, tech-comfortable, and willing to learn. Schedule & Position Structure This is an ongoing, very part-time, project-based position . Work will be assigned as projects arise, and weekly hours are not guaranteed. Some weeks may have several hours of work available, while other weeks may have little or no work. Photography and certain product projects will require working from our Fairfield, NJ location. Some design and digital projects may be completed remotely depending on the assignment. We're looking to develop an ongoing relationship with someone who can become a reliable additional creative resource for our team as needed.

Pay:

$18-$30 per hour, depending on experience and skill set.
