BThrifty is seeking an experienced E-Commerce Manager to lead and grow our online thrift and resale business. This position will oversee our e-commerce operations from merchandise selection and pricing strategy to online listings, inventory management, order fulfillment, and sales performance. We are looking for someone who already understands e-commerce and can take ownership of the department, identify opportunities for growth, and build an efficient system for selling unique secondhand merchandise online.
Salary:
$65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of BThrifty's e-commerce department Develop strategies to increase online sales, profitability, and inventory turnover Identify merchandise with strong online resale potential Research products, brands, market value, and comparable online sales Establish competitive pricing and markdown strategies Oversee product photography, descriptions, listings, and inventory accuracy Manage listings across applicable e-commerce marketplaces and platforms Monitor sales, conversion, average selling price, sell-through rate, and other key performance indicators Analyze sales data to determine which merchandise categories perform best online Ensure listings are accurate, professional, and optimized for search Manage order processing, shipping, returns, cancellations, and customer service Develop procedures for receiving, storing, listing, selling, and shipping online merchandise Supervise and train E-Commerce Specialists and other e-commerce employees Establish productivity and listing goals for the department Identify opportunities to expand BThrifty's online presence and reach new customers Work with store management to identify valuable, collectible, designer, vintage, and specialty merchandise suitable for online sale Help prevent inventory loss, listing errors, and shipping mistakes Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of professional e-commerce experience Previous experience managing online product listings and sales Strong knowledge of online marketplaces and e-commerce platforms Experience researching merchandise and determining online resale value Understanding of pricing, margins, shipping costs, fees, and profitability Strong computer and technology skills Experience using inventory management and/or e-commerce software Excellent organizational and analytical skills Ability to manage a high volume of unique merchandise Strong written communication and product-description skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of department performance Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience Experience with secondhand, thrift, vintage, collectibles, fashion, or resale merchandise Experience selling through platforms such as eBay, Shopify, Poshmark, Mercari, or similar marketplaces Experience analyzing e-commerce sales reports and KPIs Knowledge of designer brands, collectibles, electronics, jewelry, fashion, or other high-value resale categories What We're Looking For This is not an entry-level e-commerce position. We are looking for someone who understands how to operate and grow an online sales business and can turn BThrifty's constantly changing inventory into a successful online revenue channel. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, knowledgeable about online resale, comfortable making pricing decisions, and motivated by measurable sales results.
