Welders Supply Company ("Welders" or "WSC") is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented E-Commerce Specialist to join our team in Beloit, Wisconsin. We are Southern Wisconsin's and Northern Illinois' fastest growing, family-owned distributor of gases, welding supplies, and dry ice for industry, medical, and commercial uses. The E-Commerce Specialist maintains and improves the quality, organization, and presentation of product information across the company's e-commerce channels. This role supports catalog structure, product content, digital merchandising, pricing updates, promotional setup, and overall data integrity ensuring that customers can easily find, understand, and purchase the right products. Your attention to detail and product data expertise will directly support a stronger, easier-to-shop customer experience. Job Duties Content & Catalog Management
Maintain and improve product content (titles, descriptions, attributes, specifications, images, documents, and related product information) across digital channels
Organize and maintain product categories, navigation, filtering, and on-site search
Ensure information is accurate, complete, and presented in a customer-friendly way
Identify catalog gaps, inconsistent data, weak product content, and opportunities to improve the digital buying experience
Produce SEO-friendly content and category structure according to marketing priorities Digital Merchandising & Pricing Updates
Support digital merchandising efforts such as featured products, promotions, seasonal campaigns, landing pages, and cross-sell / upsell opportunities
Introduce new products to digital channels, including setup of content, images, attributes, merchandising placement, and related digital assets
Set up and administer promotions, featured items, and closeout listings
Implement approved pricing updates and help validate pricing accuracy, while coordinating with those responsible for pricing strategy and rules
Monitor for competitive pricing flagging meaningful pricing gaps and inconsistencies Systems & Data Quality
Administer product information within the PIM and support ongoing data quality, structure, and maintenance
Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and available systems to collect, update, and improve product data
Support multi-channel growth such as B2B and B2C / hybrid commerce, improved product data structure, and multilingual or PIM-driven content processes Cross-Functional Support
Resolve website support issues related to content, catalog set up, merchandising, promotions, and user experience, while coordinating technical issues with internal IT associates and/or outside partners
Partner with ecommerce leadership, customer service, sales, and operations to reflect customer needs and buying questions in the digital catalog
Performer Requirements:
Successful experience in ecommerce merchandising, product content, catalog management, product data, pricing administration, or digital marketing
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage substantial amounts of product information accurately
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple work priorities, plan, and organize activities
Ability to work with spreadsheets, ecommerce platforms, product data tools, or PIM systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize product information for optimal customer usability
Ability to collaborate across departments and with outside vendors.
Desire to participate in and implement process improvement
Understanding of KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) to strive for alignment
Strong problem-solving and people skills
Effectively communicate in English (verbally and in writing) when collaborating with customers, suppliers, coworkers, and other associates
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time while performing desk work and repetitive tasks such as keyboarding
Equipment/Software Used:
Computer and various office equipment. Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills required.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor degree in E-Commerce, Marketing, or related field. Minimum or two years of experience in ecommerce merchandising and catalog management. Experience with data manipulation tools (i.e., Microsoft Access), and PIM (Product Information Management) is desired. Experience in industrial distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or product-driven businesses a plus.
