About Us. Minga Fair Trade Imports is a dedicated import and wholesale distribution company operating out of Lake Geneva. We specialize in sourcing and distributing fair-trade artisan products from around the world. We are looking for a tech-savvy, problem-solving E-Commerce Coordinator to maintain our WordPress site and provide excellent support to our wholesale buyers. The Role. This is an on-site role that bridges the gap between digital operations and customer experience. You will be responsible for the day-to-day health, maintenance, and improvement of our WordPress e-commerce website. Additionally, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, helping them navigate the site, troubleshoot account issues, and complete their wholesale orders.
Core Responsibilities Website Maintenance:
Perform regular updates to WordPress core, themes, and plugins while ensuring site stability and security.
E-Commerce Management:
Update product listings, manage wholesale pricing tiers, optimize product images, and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
Troubleshooting & Improvements:
Identify and resolve site bugs, improve page load speeds, and implement minor layout changes using
HTML/CSS.
Technical Customer Support:
Answer inbound calls and emails from customers to assist with account access, password resets, order tracking, and general website navigation.
Operational Support:
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure online inventory aligns with physical stock and assist with general office tasks as needed. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience managing, updating, and troubleshooting WordPress websites (WooCommerce experience is a major plus). Understanding of basic HTML and CSS. Strong technical problem-solving skills; ability to research and fix plugin conflicts or formatting errors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a patient, customer-first attitude. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a small-business environment. Familiarity navigating the Apple/macOS ecosystem (our office operates exclusively on Mac hardware). Compensation, Growth & Skill-Based Pay Increases. We understand that talented individuals often bring diverse skill sets to the table, and we want to reward that. While the base pay for the core E-Commerce Coordinator duties is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, we offer immediate wage increases for candidates who can prove proficiency in any of the following secondary areas:
Design & Layout:
Experience with catalog layout, typography, or database publishing (e.g., FileMaker Pro, Apple Pages, InDesign) (+$2 to +$3/hr)
Digital Marketing & SEO:
Ability to run targeted email campaigns, optimize product pages for search engines, or manage wholesale lead generation (+$2 to +$3/hr)
Tech Proficiency:
Advanced computer skills on Mac/PC, including basic PHP troubleshooting (+$2/hr) .
Product Photography & Editing:
High-quality studio photography and advanced photo-editing skills for web and print (+$2/hr)
Proactive Sales:
Ability to upsell wholesale accounts, identify new retail partners, and actively drive revenue (+$2 to +$4/hr) We are a small company, which means there is no corporate red tape preventing your growth.
