Health, dental, vision, and PTO per the employee handbook Position Summary LumESCO is seeking an organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented Product Specialist / Associate Product Manager to support the development, management, and growth of our commercial and industrial LED lighting product portfolio. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who combines strong organizational skills with sound business judgment, technical curiosity, and a desire to grow into broader product management responsibilities. Candidates with relevant work experience in place of a college degree are encouraged to apply. The person in this role will gain practical experience with commercial and industrial LED lighting products, including product specifications, applications, pricing, market positioning, regulatory requirements, product launches, and lifecycle management. These skills are transferable across the lighting, electrical, appliance, manufacturing, distribution, energy-efficiency, and related technical-product industries. You will work across departments to maintain accurate product information and documentation, coordinate priorities, support product launches, resolve issues, and help move projects from concept through completion. The successful candidate will take ownership of assignments, communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of commercial and industrial LED lighting products, applications, specifications, and markets.
• Create, manage, update, and organize product specification sheets, instruction sheets, test data, web content, technical documentation, and related product records.
• Review product documents for accuracy, consistency, completeness, formatting, and alignment across print and digital channels.
• Coordinate with internal teams, manufacturers, vendors, laboratories, and other partners to collect and verify technical product information.
• Ensure approved product specifications, instructions, test results, images, descriptions, and supporting documents are current and readily available.
• Maintain accurate product data, technical specifications, pricing information, certifications, documentation, and internal records.
• Support the development and maintenance of product pages and other product-related website content.
• Coordinate product-related projects, deadlines, approvals, deliverables, revisions, and follow-up activities.
• Support new LED lighting product development and launch activities from initial concept through market introduction.
• Work with sales, marketing, operations, vendors, manufacturers, and leadership to gather information and keep projects moving.
• Assist with customer, competitor, market, technology, and product research.
• Help evaluate product opportunities using customer needs, product applications, costs, margins, energy efficiency, competitive positioning, and business priorities.
• Prepare product comparisons, presentations, reports, sales materials, technical documentation, and training resources.
• Coordinate product samples, testing, packaging, labeling, certifications, and other launch requirements.
• Assist with reviewing product specifications and performance characteristics such as wattage, lumen output, color temperature, voltage, controls, dimensions, warranties, and rated life.
• Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on customer feedback, sales information, market developments, and technology trends.
• Identify risks, missing information, inconsistencies, delays, and process gaps before they affect project outcomes.
• Respond promptly and professionally to product-related questions from internal teams and external partners.
• Perform other product and business-support responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, product management, engineering, electrical technology, communications, or a related field, or commensurate work experience.
• This is an entry-level opportunity; previous product management or lighting-industry experience is not required.
• Relevant internship or work experience in product support, project coordination, marketing, operations, sales support, customer service, administration, electrical products, appliances, or a related area is helpful but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, revisions, and competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An interest in learning technical product features and translating them into accurate, understandable product content.
• Ability to take ownership, exercise good judgment, and follow assignments through to completion.
• Comfort working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability and willingness to learn new products, systems, standards, and processes quickly. Preferred Attributes
• Internship, academic, or professional exposure to LED lighting, electrical products, appliances, energy efficiency, technical products, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Experience creating or maintaining specification sheets, instruction sheets, test records, product listings, website content, or other technical documents.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management, new product introductions, technical specifications, or product data management.
• Experience working with vendors, manufacturers, distributors, laboratories, or cross-functional project teams.
• A strong interest in developing into a product management role with increased responsibility over time. • Annual salary of $50,000-$65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
