Part-Time Marketing Assistant Baracoa Cuban Restaurant |

Palmdale, CA Pay:

$22 per hour

Schedule:

We're proud of what our team has built and are looking for a talented Marketing Assistant to help us continue growing. This position works directly with our Marketing Manager. We're looking for someone who can create high-quality content, interpret performance results, and turn plans into completed campaigns. The right person takes initiative, communicates professionally, meets deadlines, and proposes solutions when something needs to improve.

Responsibilities Content production:

Plan, photograph, film, edit, and prepare social media content that accurately represents our food, drinks, team, and atmosphere.

Campaign execution:

Create and maintain a content calendar; prepare posts, graphics, event promotions, email campaigns, and SMS campaigns; and check every detail before publication.

Event marketing:

Coordinate promotional materials and content for live music, salsa events, coffee, catering, and special events. Attend selected events to capture content.

Performance reporting:

Gather data from social media, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Toast, and reservation platforms. Organize it into clear reports showing what was done, what it cost, and the results.

Continuous improvement:

Identify which content and promotions are working, recommend specific changes, and help implement approved improvements.

Project coordination:

Keep assets, deadlines, and requests organized while working with the restaurant team and outside creative partners. What we're looking for A portfolio with examples of social media content, photography, video, design, or marketing campaigns you personally created. Strong Canva skills, experience creating short videos for social media, and the ability to write clear, engaging copy in English. The ability to combine creative ideas with performance analysis: you can make a compelling post and evaluate whether it achieved its goal. Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the confidence to move assigned work forward independently. A track record of meeting deadlines, adapting to changing priorities, and seeing projects through to completion. Professional communication and a collaborative approach to working with a dynamic restaurant team. Availability to work on-site in Palmdale and occasionally attend evening or weekend events. Spanish fluency and experience with restaurant marketing, Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Toast, or OpenTable are valuable.
