As a Marketing Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to: + Gain practical marketing and communications experience + Participate in meaningful community events and outreach efforts + Collaborate with a supportive and experienced marketing team + Build skills in content creation, communication, and event coordination + Help highlight the stories of employees, customers, and community organizations making a difference What You'll Do Social Media Support + Assist in creating, planning, and scheduling content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn + Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices and share ideas for new content and engagement opportunities + Capture photo and video content at branch locations, community events, and marketing activities Community Engagement + Assist with sponsorships and community events, including booth opportunities, golf tournaments, parades, Parade of Homes events, and other activities that support SBSU's community involvement goals + Represent SBSU professionally at community events and networking opportunities + Take minutes during monthly Washington County Community Relations Committee meetings Marketing Team Support + Assist the Marketing team with executing strategies that support the bank's purpose, cause, and reputation + Provide support for special marketing projects, campaigns, and internal communication needs + Perform additional related duties as assigned What You'll Bring Minimum Qualifications + Strong interest in social media marketing, content creation, and digital communications + Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn + Basic video editing skills for short-form content + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work a consistent part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week Preferred Qualifications + Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related field + Experience creating content for a business, organization, school club, personal brand, or other group + Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation tools + Photography, videography, or video editing experience What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
