Summary:
The Digital Content & Media Specialist is BriarPatch's primary visual storyteller and creative content producer. This position is responsible for creating, capturing, editing and managing the visual assets that support BriarPatch's marketing, communications and community engagement efforts across social media, digital advertising, email marketing, website content and in-store channels. The Digital Content & Media Specialist owns the visual execution of BriarPatch's digital presence, including photography, videography, multimedia content creation and graphic design. This role serves as the primary creator of visual content for social media, ensuring a consistent, engaging and brand-aligned visual identity across all digital platforms. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and the Communications & Media Coordinator, the Digital Content & Media Specialist transforms marketing campaigns, promotions, events, educational initiatives and organizational priorities into compelling visual content. The Communications & Media Coordinator retains ownership of content strategy, messaging, editorial planning, copywriting, publishing schedules and community engagement, while the Digital Content & Media Specialist leads the creation, production and management of the visual assets that bring those stories to life. The ideal candidate is an experienced visual creator with strong photography, videography and editing skills, a keen eye for design and storytelling and the ability to independently manage the production of high-quality digital content that reflects BriarPatch's products, people, values and community. Primary Responsibilities Photography & Video Production Plan, coordinate and execute photography and video shoots for products, prepared foods, departments, events, staff, vendors and community initiatives. Capture high-quality photography and video content for social media, digital marketing campaigns, website content, email communications and in-store marketing. Edit and optimize photography and video assets for multiple digital channels. Produce short-form video content including reels, stories, promotional videos and educational content. Maintain a seasonal content library that supports year-round marketing and communications needs. Manage digital asset organization, storage and archival standards. Social Media Visual Content Own the visual execution of BriarPatch's social media presence across all platforms. Create photography, video, graphics, animations and other visual assets for social media campaigns and day-to-day content. Collaborate with the Communications & Media Coordinator to support content calendars and campaign priorities. Maintain visual consistency and adherence to BriarPatch brand standards across all social media channels. Stay current on social media visual trends and recommend new formats, styles and storytelling approaches. Design & Multimedia Content Design social graphics, website graphics, email assets and promotional materials. Create multimedia content that supports promotions, owner campaigns, events and educational initiatives. Assist in the development and maintenance of BriarPatch visual brand standards. Support marketing campaigns through the creation of compelling visual assets across multiple channels. Website & Digital Content Support Hold ownership of enews building and scheduling, in coordination with Communication and Media Coordinator's messaging strategy and written content. Assist with website content updates and visual asset management. Optimize and prepare visual assets for web and email use. Support digital marketing initiatives through creation of campaign assets and supporting multimedia content. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in photography, videography, digital content creation, marketing or a related field. Demonstrated portfolio showcasing photography, video production and digital content creation. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or comparable creative software. Experience with photo editing software such as Lightroom and Photoshop. Experience with video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut or equivalent platforms. Strong understanding of composition, lighting, visual storytelling and brand photography. Experience creating content for social media platforms. Ability to independently plan, shoot and edit content from concept through final delivery. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience photographing food, products, retail environments or community events. Motion graphics and animation experience. Experience with WordPress or other content management systems. Experience with MS Dynamics or other email marketing platforms. Familiarity with co-op, grocery, food or mission-driven organizations.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence with demonstrated writing and editing skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or electronic form.
Computer Skills:
An individual should have knowledge of: Internet software Inventory software Order processing systems Spreadsheet software Word Processing software Desktop publishing/computer graphics
